Difference between NEW & OLD Explorer xs???

I have what i believe is the "old" explorer... when i turn on or reset the machine, it comes up with the 1999 date, and the info. on the display screen looks not as "sharp" as the new models... is there anything different about my older model?

Different display (the color is different), but it should be visually the same. The locks under the control housing are prone to cracking. The phone jack is reportedly more fragile.
Functionally, it is the same as new models. You are not missing any coins, if that was the worry. Sorry to give you some new worries <IMG SRC="/forums/images/frown.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":(">

Peter,
Accualy indoors the one you have should have a sharper display from what I have seen. Now out doors the display on the new ones seem slightly better. I have both in my shop right now and tried them as the older one with the blue display is much clearer in my test indoors.
Everything else should be the same.
