Difference between 3 and 3H?

This weekend, I changed from 2 tones to three, but put it on 3 not 3h, what's the difference...I actually found most good targets...brass and lead came in at what I consider a middle tone. Anyway, I don't have much time on my 75, and have been using basic settings....DE mode, sens. 65, disc. 15. Just got to learn more about this machine before DIV 8.

In 3H, nickles come in at the high tone. I love the 3H setting for clad coin hunting, or yard hunting.
