Difference All metal Zero disc AT MAX

JASONSPAZ1

New member
If the AT mAx all metal mode is a motion all metal mode, then wha is the difference between the two modes. From the video the threshold is available in the zero disc mode which is traditionally a motion disc mode.

Thanks in advance

The zero discrimination mode picks up nearly all conductive targets in the matrix, the zero discrimination mode has pre-set parameters on both high and low conductors. The true all metal mode is deeper then the two, however, you will not get different ID tones, like a high tone for silver. You will get the ID number though. The iron audio also will work in zero discriminate mode and true all metal mode.

Steve Moore said last night that in zero mode the detector is still using filters where as all metal is just that. And as John noted the tone difference. I sometimes use all metal on one of my other detectors. It takes some getting used to if you haven't used it much. I will say this though , in all metal mode the detector is super sensitive. I think Garrett did well incorporating their iron audio in all metal. I think that will be a big plus.

True all metal mode is the one when looking for targets in areas where there are few hits. I also use it to assess a new area to assess see if new top soil has been brought in during the last several years, as there is a very low target count.
