diff between metal box and micro max eldorado?

What were the main differences, and is the older one inferior to the "newer" one? I may be able to pick up a metal box one for a song and just wondering if its worth it. Thanks!
 
I can only pass on what I've read in other forms, but Monte may chip in with his expertise. He's very knowledgeable on all the tesoros including the older models. Anyway, I've read several really good opinions on the older Eldorado including the fact that one poster was especially enamored of its prospecting ability. If the price is decent you probably won't go too far wrong.
