Did You Know That The Garrett Pro-Pointer Can Be De-Tuned To Help With Target Recover?

Well I never knew that! I did have a friend tell me while I was hunting in some really hot soil last year and the pointer was falsing like crazy. He told me to hold it to the ground and turn it on. BAM!! no falsing and I could probe the hole. It tunes it ground balances it 's self to the ground. At first I didn't like the pointer. Noe that I know how to ground balance it I love it.

And for increased depth this is a neat rick.

A combination of De-Tuning before Super-Tuning is often used for pinpointing Gold Nuggets in the range of 0.3 to below 0.1 gram.

I've used above method with the Pro-Pointer since 2008.......... also useful when Gold Panning.

Size of nugget in picture a tad below 0.1 gram
