There are only 17 photos to see. But they are quite moving and thought provoking. I loved both the first and last photos best.

The captions under each photo explains a great deal. I think the brand new Marine Private was a personl friend as such ranks are not commonly put on Funeral Details.

They were a noble people and spoke truly. All three of them hated what the white man had done, but they still served our country, as they felt it their duty, and the proud thing for a warrior to do. I talked with them many a night over drinks and while at work or in the field.I also read some books they recommended. Their harsh treatment still goes on today as the traditionalists are opressed in many ways by those in power who follow the new ways of greed and deceit.

I was aware of the Honorable Native American Heritage that has served and serves our Nation.

The slide show was gut wrenching, but the sorrow of his parents are surly insurmountable. It is a sad day when we lose our grown children and has to be the worst of agonies.

I salute his bravery and from my perspective he was a Chief of men. Him and his family have paid the ultimate sacrifice for a world that is in disorder. War is an ugly demon that rears its head far too often. My :usaflag: is at half mast.
