Did you wonder about the folks who lost some of the things we find? There is nothing more exciting than seeing the flash of a 100+ year old silver coin laying at the bottom of a deep hole. It
 
Wow Dave, that is neat to find them old class rings, you will probably never find the relatives but hope so that would be awesome. my oldest class ring to date is a 1919 from a high school back in Ill but could not even find any relatives but i was hopeing.

the initials could be some sort of religious order or club. they might also be the initials of a couple that were dating.
 
It's from a religious order ( Monks). It's a mission ring . The last letter is the country the mission was located.

Thanks for the info Dennis. You may be correct. The ring was found near the Canadian border which explains the C in the engraved letters.
 
and was in a stand of trees that ran along the side. I found little piles of coins scattered all over, it took me awhile to figure out that the piles of coins were from people watching the movie and hitting the woods to relieve themselves. When they dropped their pants the coins all fell out into little piles! And by the way, the other little piles were all gone.:lol:
