and not much fun either. Boy....I shouldn't ever do that again.....Should have stayed home, must be something to the state of mind theory..

wonder why it is......i have learned it is just a waste of time and energy to go out all in a bad mood. i guess its because we dont try hard enough and give up to easy on the digging. thats my case anyways. i just half hearted swing with a frown...learned my lesson quick.

ya gotta focus even if in a bad mood!..when ya think about it,and this is ALL ya get to do for s***s and giggles, then ya don't care if you are in a bad mood!.ya do it anyway, and feel better for having done it,,so you can forget your troubles!..hell if it wasn't for detecting,,i would have been in a nut house long ago!

XLT-user right on. This is what I noticed some time ago. Crap out Crap in not the other way around. That is why I go out to enjoy the hunt nothing else. The hunt is more important. If it is the only time I have and don't feel like hunting I look around and notice nature. A consistent change and so peaceful and huge. All of a sudden there I am just having a enjoyable hunt. Not a great hunt, but an enjoyable one. And pleasant surprises start to show up in many different forms. Finds, people, weather, different thoughts, emotions, etc... Change... Thanks for insight, great help to me... Jer

Well, let's all think golden thoughts when we're out there and see if it works. After all, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Oh sure, it's alright for you guys to think golden thoughts when your out there, but I smell wood burning every time I think. Z

I have started detecting in one of those moods but for some reason a couple of coins make me feel better. Funny thing it is not the face value but the fact that I can find something that thousands have walked over.

I've been thinking about that too, I produce the activity calander for the guys in
my house. Fresh air, exercise and what better way to bond. I dont know , might
not look too good 2 guys with walkers out in the park diggin up coins
