Did Whites ever make a 6000 di series 3 hip mount

i still have my 6000 di series 3,,, went directly from that to the v3,,,, it had to small d rings that attached to the screws in the top side of case and a strap went over my shoulder with to clips that just cliped onto each d ring. i would run the strap through my belt loop to keep it from going anywhere when i bent down to dig. had a shaft extension with handle and arm cuff on it. worked awesome i thought.

Hi Waterdog Yes Whites did make True Hip mount Versions They are:

CM 2 TR HM CM 4000D Series 2 HM CMD Series 2 HM and the 6000D Series 2 HM..........which I Own now. What makes them True Hip mount is because the Meter is on the Top
facing upward and had a separate rod and coil support assembly. The standard model had the rod attached to the box as usual along with Meter on the Control Box. However from the mid 80's on
the meter was on the hand grip could be used as hip mount removing the shaft from the box. Early Blue box Whites has 2 distinct models offered thus Hip mount are quite scarce. Checkout
Whiteselectronics.com and look at the A-Z manual downloads. Hope this helps.
