Couple days ago. On TV. Just a few seconds. Young man walks his girlfriend out to the end of this pier, to propose. Gets down on a knee, opens the box, ring jumps out, hits a plank, than over the side. This is on film. So everyone is looking in disbelief. While he runs off the pier (showed rocks) went in and of course couldn't find it. I missed where it happened, but didn't seem tropical. U S anyway. Sorry that's all I got. Maybe someone can run down the film clip.

Well, I looked up "Man loses engagement ring off of pier" Might know it ! Internet had the story. Happened way over in Australia.
News station hired divers who found it in 10 feet of water.

Wow, that was nice of the news station.
You'd never see the parasites in the US doing something like that.

Here is the link to the Atlanta story. No video of the actual loss, just the news cast video.
happened April 1, 2016; not the one in Australia.

Actually WW, your story Is the one I seen on the tv news. And no mention of anyone reaching out to the detecting nation for help.
I'd bet though that someone's been in there hunting for it. That would make a story.

Wish I lived closer, I would go try to find it for them.
