DID THE ASSULT LAST NIGHT WITH SYFTA & BEACH HUNTER

Man the tide was still very high and still very rough. There were a few targets but no silver or gold for me.Saw Mike off in the distance south of the pier but never got a chance to talk with him.Syfta and Beach Hunter were right at the pier when I come on the beach last night so I hunted a while with them then I headed back south.Norm and the boys left just before I got there but wanted to say thanks for the aluminum pipe you left with John. This is my nut for the night.

Sorry I missed you...looked like you were moving away and I had set the pier as my turnaround point. Man, what a mean night, huh? Even worse was that I could hardly see a thing with the spray and rain all over my glasses. I really need to get some contacts I think.

Yes, last night was a little disappointing. Oh well...had to try it.

I was pretty badly nearsighted and finally decided to have the surgery done about 2 years ago now. Surgery was easy and pain free (a little discomfort, but no real pain) - could see without glasses already by the second day - full recovery was somewhere around a week or so.

It corrected my nearsightedness to the point where I'm 20:20 - I can't begin to tell you how nice it is to go out in the rain and snow and NOT have to deal with wiping glasses or fogging them up!

The only 2 downsides:

1) My eyes tend to get dry more easily than they did before - a common side affect

2) Because my nearsightedness was corrected, it basically put my eyes back to what they would be if I had never had to wear glasses agewise - I'm 42 and my parents have a history of bifocals and trifocals, so I do have to wear reading glasses when I'm reading something up close. I don't have to for working on computer or reading stuff at work, but like if I lay down in bed and want to read, the book is just a little too close to my eyes and have to wear reading glasses.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have had the surgery years ago - the pluses far outweigh any of my minuses. One thing though - don't go do it at any of those "discount" type places - check around for a reputable place with a good doctor who will sit down and talk with you beforehand. It's worth the $$.
