hello all, thought you might like to see some of the jewelry i've found in my long time hobby! and i found every bit of it too, no robbing the wive's jewelry box here. included is some sterling, and a little bit of gold. and it's all for real! hope you enjoy the pics. just goes to show that there's still plenty out there... well i guess you didn't know it, but i'm an old jewelry hunter too... and if you care to take... ok, i'll stop now. some interesting pieces here... it took a long time and a lot of work to get this stuff. the piece in center is a xmas ornament; the really old mickey mouse fork is one of my favorites. enjoy, and thanks. hh,

very nice collection grey, i found my 1st ring about a week or so ago at a local high school in great falls! it was an awesome feeling ,thuogh somthing in the soil there had stripped all the silver of the ring down to the copper! it was the same with 2 qaurters i found there , they too were copper color ,and they were state quarters as well so they wernt too old! i susspect it was the fertilizer the use? any how ive got a big area to hunt at this old school i takecare of, its been here since 1930s and its been a school since 1937, cant wait ! hey ty again for all the great advice you share with all of us rookies, its much appreceaited ! happy hunting my freind! and if you ever come montana way holler at me!:wiggle: scott charp

No silver in the State Quarters...I believe they are zinc/nickel coated, but I may be wrong....plated objects can be destroyed by chemicals in the soil...I have seen this many times...You should see what fertilizer does to Zinc pennies...chews em right up...
