Did some river hunting today.............Silver!

Today I hunted in a local river with my Excalibur for about 3 hrs.... The following list of coins is my findings..................................................................

21 silver dimes...mostly Mercs..
7 silver quarters
1 war nickel ..silver
3 buffalo nickels
3 Jefferson nickels
9 wheat pennies

Most of the silver and copper coins are wafer thin due to being in the salt water for so long.........They are headed for the tumbler and will be added to my silver scrap stash.....

I did have an exciting moment while out in about 4 ft of water, I stepped in an old tire and went face forward like a seal into the water:laugh: I went forward about 5 ft before I came up and got my balance............it was hoot. Didn't lose anything so it was a good day..........................:smoke: A pier and one arm bandit slot use to be at this site........

About 2 to 3 yrs. ago I found 74 silver half dollars on the river shore where the tide washes in and out at this same site, during that hunt I invited my hunting buddy Andy to the site and he found 40 silver half dollars..We had a blast digging all those coins. There is more out there in the water where the slots were in a shack on the pier..Lot of rocks, shells and gravel on the bottom of the river makes for hard digging...
