Went to my parents 1956 home and took out some treasures. To my surprise, I found five Wheaties, and even three silver dimes, two 57's and a 52d. There have been many, many times when I have detected yards expecting to find a lot and have found little or nothing, and then to go in this 50 year old home and come out with three silver dimes was a real surprise to me. Was using de,6 disc,80 sens, 1 notch, and 3h tones. Didn't do much in Motion all metal mode since I was wipping through it pretty fast, for me the all metal works better when going slowly.

That is good to hear Ken, it should only get better as you use it.
I too have used the all metal mode and see where you have to go much slower to hear and check out each signal. It is not something you want to use in a trashy site.
Keep posting you thoughts on the F-75 and what you are seeing as it will help us all.

Hi Goldie...Pretty good 'shooting'. The F75 outguns the others.

Try scanning the yard again in Je, Sens, 70. Disc 20. Tones 3.
Even reduce sens to 60 if too noisy....lets see you pull some interesting goodies....All the best, MattR.UK

Hope your doing well with your F75 and learning more each time you use it. I went out again today to a 125 year old park and hunted for four hours. Pickings were slim but I did come out ahead. I found a couple Wheaties again, a 1920d dime, and a 1902 indian, always love to find those. I would say that most of these finds were about five inches down. Not much for putting on a hundred miles on the car and four hours of hunting , but I had a good time and am learning the language of the f75 better. I pretty much stayed in my regular setting, disc 6, 80 -90 sens, de, 3 tones. I tried the Jewelry mode Matt, but didn't care for it as much as the de. I like the bang type signal I get in that mode, whether it's a two inch signal or an 8 incher, seems the je mode is modualated, so the deepies sound fainter. Just like the motion all metal mode, there are times to use it and I am sure it's the same for the je mode, it will just take more time to learn what mode to go with, depending upon the circumstances.
