went out before it started to rain forever and found my second gold ring in two weeks.
the pic is bad but best i could do. this one is 10k.white gold. no dimonds.just crosses.can tell it's older and more worn. but it's gold. last one was found with my xlt. this one was found with my minelab explorer se pro with my new 8"x6" sef coil. all finds today were less than four inches down. no big whoopie there.
but that's two golds in two weeks with two machines. seems to be a theme. maybe next time out i'll use the garrett ace 250. :clapping:

Your on the roll great finds !!

what i was in reference to was no whoopie as to the depth. my goal today was to see if i could get some real depth from that coil.
i for one certainly did not figure i'd find just a gold ring. now i have two. so i'm very happy about those. i enjoy the unexpected finds more than the coins.
i have a fleet of broken toy cars, van, jet fighter and a pick-up. total of 10. not one worth a plug nickel but a real pleasure to find. on todays ring i was digging for what i thought was going to be a nickel. surprize surprize!! it's all great fun.

great find

WTG...thanks for sharing

it's been more than three weeks so no third ring yet. won't be getting out in the next few days. gotta sheet of melting snow that's turning into a sheet of ice tonight. gunna take another day or two to warm up and dry up enough to get out. real strange weather pattern this yr. if nothing else i get a little test time or reading done. i'm counting on dave's countdown to spring. it will start when God leaves minnisota after his ski trip there. dave does say it's God's country. must be cause he likes skiing.

almost felt like i haddened earned the right to find a gold ring this soon. much less two. but i got em and i'll try to add more.
i didn't recognize them when the machine went off. both times i thought it was nickel. i'd like to find one by knowing the sound or numbers. not stumble on it.
just need more field time.
i'm one corpusal cherokee indian. did the cherokee have a dance to shut the rain off for a few days?
