Did I screw up?:yikes:

Unlike when I was a Sovereign owner, I kind of feel alone, that is, my Infinium and I. There doesn't seem to be many people using the machine.

I jumped in quick to trade my beloved Sovereign:please: for a machine that I thought would help me get those really deep coins that I think I'm missing here in Southern Indiana. The reason I think I was missing things is because there seems to be a lot of mineralization in the soil here which would cause Sovy to null ALOT.
When I used her out of my area, she was alot happier, responding to our walks with a smooth threshold:thumbup: rather than an almost constant null. I guess it could also be alot of iron trash to.Anyways,I thought that the Infinium would be the ticket and that it would find the treasures that I feel I might have been missing. (deep, old coins) But all I have been able to gather from the different forums that I have checked is that the Infinium might not be such a good coin hunter:confused: but more of a gold/relic machine. I've heard that there is gold around but I don't think there is enough to make it worth my while looking for it and the only relics that I know of would be farmstead relics. (not very exciting)

I guess what I am trying to say is I feel like I might have screwed up:rage: by getting the machine for coin hunting(hasn't even arrived in the mail yet) and would like to hear some opinions, good or bad.:sadwalk:

Thanks in advance, Bill

There were many others, but that is what my hunts are like, and I consider them satisfactory...at least for my standards. :)

This was all found in one day using the Infinium from a pounded and hard hit beach location!!!

It includes 7 pieces of jewelry (3-gold and 4-silver).

I had an Infinium, Sov./ Excalibur, and found that my trash/cash ratio was about the same when hunting in a nasty iron patch and favored the Infinium when detecting real deep targets because the PI wasn't affected by depth (the 2 tone ID) whereas the BBS units either read good targets as iron or big (deep) iron as coins. ..Willy.

Thank you for your efforts.

You did'nt screw up. more and more people are finally finding out the truth of the Infinium, it is a great unit. I am not a picture taker of my finds so just take it from John and diggindirts shots that you will get the good finds. Practice and read about the Infinium and you wont be dissapointed that you bought it.

Good luck

You KEEP all that stuff?
I usually just throw the junk away and keep the coins and
rings. The pull tabs and other junk goes in the trash
bin.

Actually I just had an Idea, a practical joke if you will.
Why not pull all those little things together, bottle caps and
pull tabs and the little "what nots" and make a cach and re
bury it for someone else, along with a little note saying: "GOTCHA!"

Well, maybe not. Not everyone has a sense of humor! I imagine
the finder might have some choice words I never heard before.

I'll bet the cache would give off one sweeeet signal.

bottlebum,

Just remember that the Infinium has a learning curve and takes practice. All you need to do is read the posts available and ask questions when needed.
The Infinium opens up a lot more detecting opportunities than just coin shooting, I would get an Ace 250 to work together with the Infinium and all bases would be covered really well for you (just a suggestion though). One idea would be to work an area fast and clean the surface coins (clad) while removing some junk until no more good signals are heard (might take a few trips). Then go over with the Infinium and listen for the deep sounding targets digging only lo-hi tones to get the deeper coins. Good luck with the new machine and know that you've got help here!!!

Thanks diggindirt. That's really not a bad idea you have there. From what i'm seeing of the Aces' performance, it wouldn't take too long for the ace to pay for itself.

HH, Bottlebum
