I was going to buy a 10x12 sef coil for my se but found a great deal on the 12x15 sef coil so I bought that one instead. Question is did I make a mistake or is this a good coil to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's good..Just a tad large for some areas I use my detector in..

I purchase the Detector Buddy for my Se Pro with the 12x10 coil. It's an over arm sling to help with the weight. Makes a world of a difference.

It's supposed to go pretty deep, but I don't think I would get much use out of it with all of the iron and trash-riddled sites that I frequent. I can see it being a plus for beach hunting though ..

Depending on what your intended purpose was..... cover a lot of area? The larger coil is heavier, may loose some response to smaller targets and be difficult to use in some locations. Im not certain how it reacts to EMI. For general detecting ..... i would have went with the 10X12.... BUT if you have Pro coil already... then not a bad choice. Better beach and field coil thou.
