Did Anyone Have Any Luck With XP Service Pack 3 ?

I Tried But After 2 Hrs. I Had Too Quit---It Got Around 3/4 Done And That Was As Far As It Went--I Could Not Install Service Pack 2 Until I Bought A New Computer That Already Had It On---I Wonder If That Is What I will Have Two Do This Time---I Would Get That Clunky VISTA ! The Repair People Told Me They Had A Lot More Trouble With Vista Than XP !

However,

Installing service pack 3 or any other service pack for that matter should not require you to buy a new computer to complete it. Were you getting any error messages when you did the install?

I am getting mixed messages from people that are using Vista. It is either love or hate thing with the person using it. My next computer will have Vista installed so I can at least see how it works. But from what I have seen here at work, Vista is not as bad as some make it out to be.

Once it gets running it works fine. There were a lot of initial bugs with Vista. I managed to iron them all out on my sister's computer but I am not at all satisfied with it's performance. They released it much too soon and there was a lot of downloading to do since not all the programs were ready for Vista. I will wait for the bugs to be ironed out on SP3 before I download that and mess up my computer.
