Did anyone ever get the 902 pinpoint project to work.

Basically you buy a 12 inch piece of CPVC pipe and 2 caps. You will need 2 - 1/8 inch screws, nuts and flat washers. Next you open up your 902 and you'll see the coil. Carefully pull the coil out. It's just stuck in there with bee's wax. On take note of where the coil wires connect to the board. Mark each wire with masking tape and a number. Then desolder the wires from the board. Purchase a small amount of emaneled motor wire. You will be attaching the pipe to the thin led of the detector with the 2 screws. Drill a 1/4 inch hole on the pipe any where it ataches to the detector. Drill a coresponding hole on the detector. This will be where your coil wires go from the coil back to the circuit board. Push your extension wires in through the drilled hole and out the end of the pipe. Extend the coil wires by scraping the enamel off of the ends of the wires so it will take solder. Solder your extention wires. Then pull your wires and coil back until the coil is the only thing sticking out of the pipe. Hot glue the coil into the end of the pipe leaving about 1/4 inch sticking out. You may want to sand and/or file down the end cap as they look real big. Reconnect your wires to the circuit board and test it out. If you can't get it to adjust then do this. Take a hole punch piece of aluminum foil and tape it to the end of the coil. Adjust the foil to where the sensitivity adjusts in the center. Glue it on once you get it to work. Or I believe you can adjust the internal trimmers for the same effect. Then glue your caps on. I'm sure I missed some thing but you can fill in the gaps.

Clear and concise,But look in plumbing supply, and May find an internal PVC pipe cap, which would eliminate the bulge on end.
I made PP using a "little Wizard"and it works as good as My whites, but I like the vibration Mode on The bullseye.
