I went to the local park and picked out a small area to grid hunt. I was only digging targets 2/3rd of the way down the depth guage or more. I dug 2 fatties, 3 bullets and a small grommet in a little over an hour. I may go back later today and grid hunt another area. I seem to have better luck since I turned the volume gain down to 21 from the factory setting of 24. At 24 I have trouble telling shallow coins from deep ones. That has me looking at the depth guage too much.
