First off i just wanted to say thank you to Phil for inviting me up to hunt with him![Beers :beers: :beers:](https://www.findmall.com/styles/smileys/beers.gif)
Again it was really nice to get away from Richmond today!! I got up to Phil's around 10 am,, We decided to hunt a private mansion that Phil has had a lot of success in the past! He all ready informed me that he has hunted the place for the last seven years,, and any coins wouldn't be easy!! When we arrived i put on my 10x12 SEF coil. I started making my way around the side of HUGE yard... The first thing i noticed was the amount of iron near the house.. I kept going slow came around the side on a medium size pine tree and got a deep hit,, It was really jumpy hitting way over to the left side of the screen then hanging p in the top right corner,, I knew it was a coin for sure
I opened up the hole and about 9 inches deep was the first coin of the day, A 1935 wheatie!! Nothing special but i was still happy to find it because of the amount of hunting in the area! I fumbled around for about another 30 minutes.. Usually on these old home sites ill dig about any conductive signal! I cam across a signal that sounded really soft,, It was kinda jumping around the pull tab area,,, I was thinking of passing it up.. Then i remembered the fatty i dug weeks ago hit around the same area.. I dug down and to my surprise,, It wasn't as deep as i thought,, Only about 5 inches deep i pulled a shirt button.. After cleaning the dirt off i realized the i just found my first Eagle button
I was pretty excited after that,, And i wouldn't have cared if i didn't find another thing. I worked across the yard and kinda went over towards Phil.. Then I moved over to the other side of the yard,, as soon as i passed a tree i got another hit,, This one really hit towards the iron side... But it was a consistent high tone!! The signal sounded weird as well.. kinda drawn out,, I put my knife in the ground and automatically discovered a ton of tree roots... I hate those!!!! Fittingly there there was about a 2 inch gap between two of them that allowed me to dig down about seven inches,,, I took out my probe expecting to get a null from junk,, stuck it in the hole.. Surprisingly i got a sweet high tone!! REALLY sweet!! I knew i had silver.. I took my knife and dug down about another 2 inches and popped put a BEAUTIFUL 1914 Barber dime!!! I was really happy after that!!!!!!
Thanks every one for looking at my finds,,, Not much to look at,,, But I'm happy with them!!!
Thanks Phil for taking me along!!!!!
