On the beach....left the detector in the trunk & dug some native Rhode Island "quahogs" (which is our indian name for what many call "hard shell clams"). Supposedly they thrive best here, & indians made wampum from the shells. You dig for them at low tide in the soft mud. They make excellent appetizers, & I made a mean clams casino for my family. Unfortunately I didn't get alot as the hot spots are getting "hunted out" so to speak. I guess it's much like a treasure hunt digging & competing with others ;) It was so hot it was fun to get wet & tasted good too...
I did get to detect a bit as well in an old yard. I'll try to take a picture later...
 
:clapping:man those look goodmy brtherinlaw is from maine and he makes a mean clam chowder,the next time you fix clams i will more than help you eat them.
