Diamond Broach

New member
Found this broach this morning. It looks like the diamonds are real but I will get them checked by a jeweler on Monday. I have been using the explorer2 for about 10 hrs. Hunting in Virginia --- Ray

I hate to bust your bubble ray, but I doubt those are real diamonds. Unless the metal part of the broach is gold then I think it's unlikely that someone would put that many diamonds in a cheap metal backing. I could be wrong and wish you the best that they are real diamonds...................:) HH.

it's a nice find but most likely paste diamonds or glass. As others have noted, rarely are real diamonds set in anything other than gold or some other precious metal.

Here a paste broach I found where the stones are similar.

Back in the old days they would set small diamonds in silver since it was cheaper than gold. It just depended on how much money the person had back then.
