Diameter Of Cable?

Thank you. I could not find any information on the internet about this. I emailed Tesoro but no answer.

Out of interest what was the cable size required ??? are you changing it from hardwired to a 5pin connector so that you can change coils.

Hotwire. I would call them. That seems to work better than emailing them. If you still need this information.

Took my digital calipers to the unit I have. Read .210". Divide that by .0394 = 5.39949.........Approx 5 mil as I did not set them too hard on the cable when I read them. If I am wrong, please someone correct me. I used to work at a company that converted everyhting from SAE to metric. This was the formula we used.

The reason for wanting to know the diameter of the cable is.......I want to experiment with ferrite emi filters that clip on outside of the detector control box. Want to make sure i have the correct or larger internal diameter of filter. I could always apply tape around the cable if the filter diameter is too large.

Have tried using ferrite emi rings on a variety of detectors, they make a few good claims about reducing EMI but must admit never notice any change, also many folks have tried them as well also with the same conclusion. They may work but i stopped using tem along time back.

Good luck with your experiment.
