DFX vs MXT

Not in my experience.

Depends.....on MANY factors.
 
NO. I tend to get better performance out of the MXT, and even M6, than any DFX I've had. The XLT and definitely the XL Pro have also performed the best.

Now, let me add one more into the mix, the new Vision or Spectra V3. It, too, is superior to the DFX in field performance using stock programs, or with adjustments.

Yes, I am biased in that I love White's service, customer support, build quality, and usually most offerings. But I also call things the way I see them, and the MXT (and others) have found me deeper targets and/or provided more consistently accurate info on deeper targets.
