All Metal Mode is the deepest not only for the DFX but just about all detectors.
In the short amount of time I have had my DFX I found that "Best Data" in Dual Freq is the best overall (other than all metal) But you have to judge your soil conditions and what you are looking for. I found if you use corrolate, if both freq don't agree (which on a deep target they won't) it will reject the signal all together.
