i,m sure this question has been asked and answered but i couldn't find it in the older posts so here it is again.will my dfx coils work on the v3?
 
Yes they do. You can't run them as hot, and the 22.5 kHz frequency will be slightly skewed upward.
 
In addition to Jack's yes, if the coils has a V in the preface to the serial number on the mounting ear, they will work better with the 22.5 frequency and the Boost feature, but a V rated coil in not necessary to work with the V3i.
 
FYI, I was unable to use DFX coils on my V3 (prior to my upgrade to the "i") in Multi Frequency or in 22.5KHz. The coil overloaded at a gain of more than 3. It worked great in 7.5KHz and 2.5KHz.
