DFX beach mode & depth

Recently bought a sov gt for the beach but came vary close to choosing the dfx while shopping the detector. The sov is punching pretty deep for me on the beach. Not uncommon to pull coins at ten pluse inches. First of the year I will probably add to my detector collection and was wondering what a conservative estimate of the DFX depth is for the pre set beach mode. I love the sov for the beach and have no regrets but I can see where this machine might be a little tedious for inland use. The vast majority of my hunts are beach and I doubt I am going to beat the sov for this area so I am also unsure about how much money I am willing to spend on what will likely end up being a inland use only machine that wont get used that often.

Like I said a "conservative/likely" depth; not a "once during a blue moon on Monday at 10:26 on leap year it hit on a coin 12 inches deep". Wet sand stability is also extremely important especially with our winter low tides coming up.

For me on the west coast of FL depth can be pretty important on the beach. We don't see much in the way of conditions that pull sand off the beach and finds can get pretty deep pretty quick. TIA

If I were you I would scroll down a little further on forum to DFX forum bet you get answers really quick !!!

Probably about 6 or 7 inches on the wet sand on a single coin is about as deep as the dfx will go. It wont go as deep as the minelab on wet sand.
