DFX all metal program anyone?

Just looking to see if anyone has stumbled on to a good program for the dfx using a small coil in all metal mode (or mixed mode). I can't seem to get one to work deep for me with great separation. And I'm not at all good with the mixed mode. Any where I can visit to get lessons or instructions. I'll try anyone's program and advice. Thanks!!

You must like noise. Id suggest you use reverse discrimination in mixed mode. That means accept all your negitives and +95 VDI and reject the positive VDI's. Turn your DC up to 45, +1 on trach offset, VDI sensitivity 75 or 80, and Recovery speed say 30. I like to turn up the preamp to 4 and the AC down to say 65. Also you might want to turn up your tone since you are basically getting just low and high tones. That should get you in the ball field for getting deep targets. Watch your signagraph on those high tones.

Are you using the 4X6 coil and have you used Dave Z's program? The small coils in trash arent going too deep. Dave's program accepts down to -71 VDI, moves recovery to 30, and filters from 3 to 5. Take a look at his program i think it might be better than all medal will be for you, especially in trash.

Thanks! Someone else suggested the same idea on a different part of this site. This seems the way to go. I'll give it a try when the ice age is over. Happy almost hunting!!!
