DFX 300 @ the beach

:pulltab: Hi, i will be going to the beach in a few days and would like any tips for using my dfx 300 at the beach. I have never b4 hunted on a beach, and am very excited about it. I have used my dfx 300 only around the house, found some clad, a wrench, 2 sets of keys, a camio pin, and countless nails and bottle caps. I know it is not a water detector and can't get wet, but i still wanna take it down to the waters edge. I have a steel scoop with 14" handle and it has the square holes in it. This is what i will be using my dfx 300, and my scoop, and head phones. I figur i will get up about 5 am hit the beach for an hour or 2, and then again around 9 or 10 at night. Any tips anyone has will be greatly appreciated, thank you.:usan:

Just use the beach program... it works fine and is stable in the wet sand.. I found quite a few gold rings with it when I used it there...
