DF straight shaft?

The DF is so light i can't see what you would gain, mine balances a treat with the stock one(control box under elbow) far better than the minelab excalibur one even though the same shape, i know that pl*g*er makes them but not aware of any others

what I gain is 1.5 ft longer than the stock, and I find many targets I would have never found before since the swing is a couple feet wider...

I had the DF and added tall man shaft and gained the added length. I also found that the standard straight shaft was ideal for using the unit in deep and shallow water. With the added length if the tall man shaft it balanced perfectly in deep water in the front position right under the hand. If you where using the unit in shallow water then the rear position seemed to have better balance..Hope that helps
