Deus hunt

Low-Boy/LCPM

Active member
Since I'm testing the impact and still in love with the racer I always have to take the Deus out just to enjoy the depth and how lite it is and the way you can program it. The one problem I seem to have is GB it never seems to stay in the same digits and I have to always reground bal. My friends did that also. It is not the ground because I saw no bars. But went for a late hunt and was lucky to find a few relics...

Nice digs Low-Boy. How much is the ground balance jumping around? What are you setting it at and how much is it varying?

you will sometimes be digging a target and in the hole you will see glass or a marble you dig it out and hope it's not broken. I hunt a lot with my eyes. Meaning I look at the ground for anything that looks like it doesn't belong there. Sometimes you will see the top or bottom of a glass bottle just below the dirt line. On the hunt I was on yesterday, I came to a area where I saw broken china and glass that is where you find stuff..coins and other nice relics. If you hunt with your eyes you also see the area you are detecting and start to see places where there may have been a camp. In the gold country creeks are always a must and then you have to find where they lived and camped. The harmonica was at such an area and it is in great shape. That is a place I know there was a lot going on I just didn't have enough time to spend there and the holes that gave targets were very deep too deep to dig. I need to find out what I didn't dig.

It would ground bal at say 78 the top number I always set the bottom number about two digits above that. I would hunt and the bottom number would be a lot higher or lower. I was using a freq of 12, disc of 2, two tones sens at 85 just a basic setting for me, recovery was at 2 silencer at -1.
