Congrats! Looks like it's in good shape. How deep was it? What kind of site were you hunting? What was the surrounding ambient temperature? LOL we need details.
 
Well done phil with your lovely silver coin.

I smiled at pplinker mentioning her age of 61years.

Iam 83 and my son is her age and he finds it hard to out gun me when detecting.

Detecting keeps us lots of exercise and keeps us reasonably fit.

We have a £1 on the first hammered coin.

My coin pictured took the money yesterday.

Its a Edward I silver penny struck in Bristol, UK about 750 years ago.

nice find congrats. what settings were you using ? I am new to the Deus and looking for a good coin program , besides the Basic 1 program which works nice I might add and really like the Xy screen but always looking for help and knowledge from the pros
 
It was about 4" ,temp" in the 75 % . In plow field. I was useing a new program, I got off of website. Work great in those junky sites.
 
Well , the program I used is call hot 2 . I found it on website , can't remember who got it from . It great in trashy places. Here is the settings. Dis. -6.4. Sens. 90. Freq. 11.6. Iron vol . 3. Reactivity- 02 Audio resp 04. Expert- 3 Tones 1th tone set at 120 2th tone at 200. 3th tone at 644 in the expert settings.

I take it you mean minus 6.4 on Disc?
 
If it helps you guys Iam using Gary`s Sifter settings.

He is the UK master when it comes to Deus programmes.

I use it with 28kHz or 55kHz.

It also very kind on the ear drums.
