Deus digs two bullets so deep you won't believe it

Went to Andy's bootcamp and after a follow up call settled on a program to take on my maiden relic voyage.

Got a peep of a signal and got two bullets out of this hole.

Even the first one was so deep I thought it was a plate, got the first one out and got another signal on the side of the hole way down.

Carefully removed the dirt so we could measure exactly how deep.

This is a Makro pinpointer so that will give you an idea.

I need to measure the pinpointer since this was the second bullet almost 3 times as deep as the pinponter.

I wish I would have checked the first one closer but it was so deep I wasn't expecting a shot bullet

This had to be an anomaly with the two targets responding like one big on since they were to China.

Holy cow that's deep! Were you setup using Reactivity 0 and Silencer at -1??? Great job! You won't have any trouble hearing the deep coins either--my hat's off to you sir!

Iron 3, reactivity 0, audio response 5, notch 97-99, left disc on 8,sens 92, frequency 11.7, 3 tones but played with different ones, tx power 3,and per Andy suggestions ran GB a little lower than setting.
That's all I can remember, will post some photos of finds later.

It must be something about bullets, I've dug a small bullet that was about 3/4 the length of my Lesche 32" digger deep, so right around 20"! I too though that i was gonna pull out a big plate or something. Crazy how the Deus picks up bullets. HH

I am working a campsite in western Missouri that is a hayfield that wasn't mowed this summer and the landowner is letting me cut it with my riding mower so I can detect. I am getting bullets down to about 10 inches. I am getting broken up signals but digging everything that's not iron. I started using the 7.8 Frequency to get better depth. Now I am having trouble finding the bullet after removing the plug. Does anyone else have this happen with the Deus? I would appreciate someone sharing their setting so I can get these deeper bullets. I am using the settings out of the Deus Handbook by Andy Sabisch.

Thanks, Kenny

Okay,
How about some info on the mineralization levels of the dirt where these deep targets were discovered??? What did the mineral graph look like when bobbing the coil????

Sorry I can't be more help. I only got in 2 hunts before hot weather got me.

I hope to get in more hunts this year and will surely give more feedback paying closer attention to all readings.

Naturally, on bullets that deep I'm sure it is barely a squeak but was enough signal to get my attention.

Minerals do funny things to metal detectors, especially ones that are not old 4 filters.

Deus has really got my attention.
