Too bad I scratched 2 of my nicest finds.:sadwalk:

Went out for a 2hr hunt- Local city park.
Deus out-shined the Gold Bug today.
1st Deus find was a silver Canadian 1893 - 5 Cents- about 3-4" deep
2nd Deus find was a 1890 V-Nickle. Both finds now bear my stamp. :(
3rd was 1912 D Barber Dime- Not sure how I didn't scratch that one!
4th was 1901 Indian Head Cent.

Wife and the Bug found small silver and diamond charm.

Been using the "Bottlecap Setting" I believe suggested by CZ.
Settings:
ID NORM. ---NO
SENS. 90
FREQ. 4.0
IRON VOL. 03
REACTIVITY. 03
AUDIO RESPONSE. 01
NOTCH. 93-99
DISC 26
These settings make for clear audible sounds for silver and clad.
Reduces false bottlecaps by approx 90% imo.
Hope this helps.

Good hunting there Robez509! That's what I call touching all the bases: Old coins and silver and gold jewelery. Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
