I thought I would share a couple of solutions I use to solve problems that are occasionally mentioned on the forum….knocking the Deus remote off the shaft and protecting it from dirt and scratches. All items shown are 3D printed.
The two yellow retainers slide on the shaft and are locked into place when tightening the shaft handle. One is a single piece item and the other has a sliding latch with a knob to control the locking tension. Both work quite well to hold the remote in place.
The full case is another way to secure the remote. I personally use this method and place the remote inside a plastic bag before putting it into the case. This prevents the sticky red clay mud I often find myself digging in from getting all over the remote.
The printer files are posted online and are free for anyone to use. Not sure if the website can be mentioned, but anyone that does 3D printing will know where “thingi’s” are posted. Hope some will find these items helpful.
