Detroit Has Heart

Well after my first night shots went back tonight before the sun dropped to be more prepared. Was really surprised how much detail the camera picks up although it looks much darker to the eye.

I'm having a difficult time getting sharp images with this lens and the distance these images are shot.

C & C would be greatly appreciated.

Darryl,

What are you using for your frames?
We just loaded up Auto FX Frames and Edges....haven't done the tutorial yet.

The D30 was groundbreaking when it was introduced and from the look of these images it continues to perform very well.
Great Captures!

Are you referring to my workflow for the RAWS?

If so this is my workflow. RAWS are straight out of camera with no processing out of the camera. I convert the RAWS to 16 bit Linear Tiffs. Using Fred Miranda's actions I first apply a custom action for the D30 that fixes the AWB on the images. Then I use another custom action for the D30 that adjusts levels, saturation and sharpening. The actions are used with Photoshop 7.0. Thats about it. Because the actions are custom to my particular camera they really make it simple to process the RAW captures. These Fred Miranda actions are great and are available for quite a few cameras and really saves alot of time. For the price of around $10 they are very affordable, a must have.

You should consider marketing them to Detroit businesses and to the Chamber of Commerce.

I like them and they are much better than mine. This new to me too and I have a problem with sharp pictures at night but I blame it on my ole tripod. I used the kit 17-80 lens and I'm sure here are much sharper lens for this type of work. Nice work.
