Deteknix Xpointer not PI, not Waterproof?

I see the Deteknix XPointer being advertised as a pulse induction pinpointer and as being waterproof. I have been able to find nothing on the manufacturer website stating it is a PI, only that it operates at 95 kHz which would be a sensible induction balance frequency. It is also being advertised as waterproof. The brochure however indicates that the probe tip "the probe" is waterproof but that the speaker must be covered and so is not waterproof. That is pretty much like selling me a metal detector as being waterproof because the coil is submersible when the control box is not.

I am not accusing anyone of anything, just seeking clarification. There may have been a misunderstanding? Ot maybe I am just reading things wrong? Help me out here. But please do not point out the ads in question as "proof". It actually looks like a really good pinpointer for the money but I think it needs to be clear what people are purchasing.

I can't speak on the waterproof end, but rumor has it that the battery prongs are weak and break off. Maybe they had a bad batch or have corrected it. I don't know for sure. I am still thinking of getting one next summer. Although the new improved waterproof garrett is coming out, I like the idea of a pinpointer that doesn't sound off when pressure is applied or just because it has been on too long. Price is right also on the X pointer!

My friend, electronics engineer retired bought one.
Says its a PI. It's waterproof as long as you don't submerge the entire unit. As it says, you need to cover the speaker hole when washing.
Side by side it almost looks like an Identical copy of the Garrett that he has had for 2 years.
Performance is better than a Garrett.
For the money, he said it was a very good deal.
He likes it. That means I will like it too.

I heard they fixed the bad connector issue. That will be my next pinpointer.
