Have any of yall took the plunge and tried this digger yet? I can't find much review for this digger, mostly unboxing videos and such. I wonder if it will hold up a few years and I wonder if it will cut as nice a plug as a Lesche. Can it handle prying a big ole plug out of the ground without bending? If it will, then I may have to get one.
Thanks,
Rickey
I got a Diamond Digger today and got to cut a few plugs with it. I was able to cut real neat plugs without a lot of effort and didn't have any problem with prying the plug out. It does fairly decent in the amount of dirt that it will haul out of the bottom of the hole. I cut right through a root a little bigger than a pencil with very little effort. The grip on the handle is excellent.and has a good feel to it. I am right handed but I have a tendency to cut a plug in a clockwise direction, so I got the serrations on the left side but even cutting with the non serrated side and going counterclock was easy and neat. It seems to be stout built but as far as answering the question of, "Will it last a long time", we'll just have to see. I am sure some are wondering how it compares to the Lesche digger. I don't know; I don't have the Lesche digger but do have the Lesche Samson which is nice. There is not much difference in price between the Diamond Digger and the Lesche, just a fewdollars. So far I am really liking the Diamond Digger.
I like that the Diamond digger is stainless steel. Am currently using a Treasure Wise 3-in1 "Alox" and like it, but want to try a "Lesche-like" digger because of the offset blade. Can anyone offer a comparison with pros and cons between the Treasure Wise 3-in1 and the Deteknix and/or Lesche? Thanks.

As long as I have an opinions I don't think there's a better shovel out there than the Predator "Raptor".. Myself and all my friends use this shovel as it lets you pop out a plug without disturbing much. He also advertises here. The guy that makes the tools is George Lesche but is no longer affiliated with Lesche tool. He has his own company now. His sisters own Lesche Tool I believe.
I will say I haven't seen a Detectnix shovel before so I can be enlightened... just wanted you guys to know it's a discussion here. This is not a branded forum.

I think the treasure wise 3 in one is a rebranded a.m. leanord, italian steel made in italy. I use one of the a.m.'s for parks on the dl. But when attention isn't a factor the predator is tops. The detectnix is chinese steel? Could be great....
