DetectorPro First Trip

Picked a used Pirate Pro and took it for a spin today. Bought it for my youngest daughter but she lost interest after 30 minutes.

Found this .925 ring, 4.6g. Hit it at about 8 inches in the dry sand. Any ideas how to remove the green oxidation? Thanks.

unfortunately it appears that ring may only be silver plated..... copper and brass oxidize green... silver oxidizes black...

Interesting. Any reason why it would be stamped .925? I guess they can do this if it is only plated...

A ring is still a ring. Nice job, Jeff.

Indeed, Crispy! It's not an issue of value or anything as I give away most of the rings I find (three daughters and a wife). My oldest daughter found a ring as well. I think she likes this detecting stuff...

In that case, be sure to leave one out there for me to find......lol!

You might have a detecting partner there? That would be a good thing.
