Some guy is exercising his enterpenurial brain..."Short term gain for long term pain" for all of us. And there's not a thing we can do about he is doing, except damage control after the fact.

Thanks for the headsup.I did make a comment to Mr. Kajun Magi that he is a narrow minded bigot who doesn't like White Americans.If he is an archaeologist he should get into another line of work. This man doesn't deserve to have exclusive access to Civil War sites.Even on private farm property Magi thinks relic hunting should be banned.A classic case of a academia nut that knows more than everyone else.As a tax payer and veteran I' m concerned that a person with this kind of integrity have control over any historical artifacts.He did make a statement that the unwashed whites stoled all the land from the Indians and even now its not ours. We don't need a guy like this roaming in the hills of Virginia rewriting history.. Just another redneck. Ron in MI.

I sure haven't been in it long, but I have found nothing but good kind folks that have more respect for others property than any politician I have ever met, and unfortunately I have met my share. In a case like this, we need to show T.L.C Total Lack of Concern. We also should NOT act like a bunch of "Rednecks" in our response to them.
I hope you all realize, there are some people that believe that everyone below the Mason Dixon Line is a "Stupid Redneck."

John, I disagree we have to be concerned, with racism even against White Americans it is unacceptable.I think too many stories on some subjects have a onesided view by the people being interviewed and the writer's. There is too much chatter with the US News story on the VA relic hunters.This is not the place to vent or argue the point. HH Ron
