Detector Stand?

The stand does seem to be on the large size,i guess you could get a better signal reception on the screen if nothing else

I actually ordered the plans and attempted to make one. Mine didn't turn out so well. It wasnt that the instruction were unclear, just the finished product was flimsy and didn't stand up too well. Be curious to hear if anyone has a plan that works.

They look like they do not collapse and are just something extra to hang up in the brush when swinging the coil.

Im thinking these stands would be used best on the beach with detectors that are not water proof. They do collapse.

is it a divining rod?

Sure looks like it could be used as one in a pinch!

That stand looks flimsy and unstable to me. Never used one but seems to me a good strong wind or water wave would blow the whole works over.

I bought 2 from a seller on ebay... Stopped using them pretty quickly... Too flimsy. They're made from european cabinet hinges and thin, threaded on the ends. rods rods and a clamp. Just use a rifle bi-pod

Thanks for the feedback.

Why doesn't someone develop a flip-out single spike? Flip it out, stick it in the ground to hold the detector up out of the dirt. When done, pull it out of the ground and flip it back into its clip holder.

There, Daddy did his part to advance the detecting hobby. Now, someone take my idea and run with it. :detecting:

If I had to guess it looks like a couple of pieces of all thread, a few nuts and washers, and a cabinet door hinge. Head to Lowe's and have some fun for a few dollars lol.
