detector pro

Great unit, very lightweight. Only negatives for me are.....

11 inch coil gives great depth but difficult to pinpoint a target.

It has a tendency to "eat" batteries. Always take an extra set of 9v with you.

I have the older model with the unit direct wired to the earcup. Be extra careful as a wave snatched the rod out of my hands and broke a wire inside the insulation so it had to be sent back to the factory for repair.

Other than that I love the unit. The beaches here in Fla. are not as trashy as the beaches up north so I dig every target anyway so a PI unit is the only way to go in my humble opinion.

Those people probably had old Detetector Pro machines don't pay attention to a few disgruntled people.. the HeadHunter PI is top notch.. I own the Diver and love it, its the new DP that you can change coils on... the old models were hardwired..
