Being in the market for a new machine, and looking in every nook and cranny to find dealers, I have to wonder if manufacturers ever relax their minimum advertised prices? When looking for model X made by manufacturer Y, the lowest price one can find is always the same, to the penny, regardless of who is selling it. Of course, there are the few who try to sell it for more, but we can disregard them.

Virtually all the big names do this, and I'm not complaining, mind you. That philosophy makes it fair all the way around, and protects the small guy. Not to mention it protects a product's image and reputation.

More or less, I'm wondering if manufacturers permit "sales" sometimes.

Just wondering.....

First Texas owner of Fisher just lowered prices on F75, and Teknetics just lowered T2........ So yep.they do have sales

Check findmall sponsors......... Their always willing to deal with members...

Ask them sometimes they will knock off a few bucks, throw in a little something to sweeten the pot or it is what it is. Best deal gets the business.

Personally, I don't look for the best price...I look for the best deal. You might want to contact some of the sponsors directly to see what the MSRP would actually include if you bought from them. :surprised: You might just be glad to pay MSRP :surprised:

I have found that all dealers have to advertise the same price from manufactorers but they can sell at a different price. Some act like they are giving you something that comes with the machine anyway. Don't get in a hurry there are some very good dealers on this forum. If you pay regular advertised price you did not get the best deal out there. HH :minelab:

I saw the T2 dropped $200 on each the regular and Limited...

not unless the accessories include are 'top quality" items
that YOU really need, then it MIGHT be worth considering paying
m.s.r.p. or somewhat close to it! just sayin'
