I guess the best bang for the buck is the ACE 250!!!

You have to look at cost also. Some people can't afford the higher end Garrett models. the best bang for the buck is the 250. no surprise it won.

The Ace is also a quality machine. I'm not surprised there are more Ace 250 owners.
The price and the quality will continue to carry the machine for a long time until Garrett
comes up with something else.

Would be interesting to know how many of these puppies Garrett has sold. I might do some poking around and see if I can find out.

I'd bet it would be around the 100 000 mark by now. Little wonder I'm not finding many coins at my favourite spot now. I pulled out the GTI yesterday and pulled up $11 in just over an hour. One $2 coin was in the hole of somebody elses recovery. Sure am glad I had the GTI with me. Got to get some leverage on the competition somehow.:poke:

I've found coins like that - in someone else's digs. Guess they ain't bright enough to re-check the hole. Found three quarters in one.

LOL, on 2 occasions I have given up on holes that not 10 min later my buddy checked. He asked "did you just dig this?", I said yea. Well he pulled out a 1916d Wheatie + a 1920 Merc. and the second hole he pulled out a silver Washington. lol

When I was checking my hole I didn't realize that my pinpointer's batteries died.... I was lazy and didn't scoop the dirt by the coil, and I paid the price.... I wasn't very happy, but I learned a valuable lesson that day!!! DON"T BE LAZY!!!

That's good to know, because I just ordered a 250! They MUST be good if so many folks like them!!
