Detector or not its still fun

My Wife and me look for goodies whether we have a detector with us or not. In the last year we have found (with out our detectors), A silver ring, Other pieces of costume jewelry, many coins, $131.00 in paper money and many other interesting items while detecting. Plus we also go to garage sales, second hand stores and etc. and find a lot of things that I will not even try to mention here for pennies on the dollar. We just stayed a couple of nights in a motel on family business and found several coins and things in the cracks around a swimming pool. I did not think that I would have time for metal detecting, so I had not taken ours with us. Man was that a mistake, as I did have time and missed some really neat places. My Tinytec works the cracks well. We have worked out a system for finding lost paper money that works very well here. Bill in Texas

My guess to find paper money,,, hmmm.,,,, Go to the bar,s parking lots first thing in the morning. Never tried it but I bet it would produce some cash.

Back in the late 60's early 70's I think it was such and such machine and some anothers said in their adds that it was possible. I think it was finally "so called" proven in theory,,, so long as you were looking for at least a bale or more of the stuff. Hipe caught on quick, back then and has only heightened over the years." Buyer Beware " is no idol warning!

OK here is one way to find paper money. Around anywhere there is transactions and the wind is blowing, early the next morning, look in the shrubs, bushes and other places down wind that might catch bills. We have found about 1/3 of out paper money this way. We don't usually look just for paper money, but when we are out we explore all possibilities. Bill in Texas

That's the detector I wanted for my first detector and if I remember correctly it sold for $269. That was a lot of moneyy back then, and at that time I couldn't justify spending that much for a detector so I settled for a $34.50 kit BFO. It actually would detect paper money if set to the mineral side of the tuner instead of the metal side that was used for detecting coins and other metals, it just wouldn't detect paper money very far from the coil:)
