In my neck-of-the-woods the bottom of the mountain rivers, creeks, streams and the deeper pools used as swimming holes are mostly rocks. From small rocks to boulders. I need to find away to get down between these rocks to the jewelry and other goodies that have been lost there.
Awhile back while browsing on the web I saw a photograph of a guy standing on a large rock on a creekbank. If I remember correctly he was holding a long rod and I am under the impression he was poking it among the rocks under water trying to locate whatever. I can't find that picture again. I can't remember if I was looking under metal detecting, water detecting or nugget shooting. Anyone have and idea as to what that pole, rod, stick, or probe thing is?
What is the best detector to get down between the rocks where the stuff is? Or, which detectors have the power to reach down through the rocks?
Thanks for your time
