detector for land and water

hi.i am new to the hobby.am looking to get a good detector to use on land and in wading depth water.will spend up to 1100 if i can find one.any help?

Minelab Excalibur's

800 and/or 1000. They are the same machine, only the coil size is different.

You can hunt on land with it too but is great for the water.

In your price range!!

For the water the excal is really good. But in the ground it's the same as the sovereign witch is also really good !!! So this is the best machine for your needs !
I personally use a Tiger shark in the saoft water and a sovereign in the ground. But my buddy Lukes use an excal for both jobs and he's real good at it! He doesn't have to switch machines ! And the multiple tones of the excall come in handy on a trashy area (water or land!)
