Hi Guys,
Here is a photo of a group of guys at a demonstration in the hills about 40 miles from where i live.
I was just giving them a demo on using a pinpointer. The ground in this area is very minerialised and at that time my quattro just could not handle it. I want to go back and try the exterra 70 and see how it goes.
The minelab detectors in the sd, extremes, 3000 were having big trouble handling the minerialisation.

Hi Pinpointa, wow that must be some seriously noisy ground if it hassle's ML PI's! I am in West Texas and don't have the mineralized ground conditions. But there is no gold, so I look for relics, coins, meteorites. All the land is privately owned too, so sometimes it is hard to find hunting grounds. Ok I thought I would make a comment and I hope you fill yer poke! God Bless.

Hi John,:ausflag:

Well here in Western Australia one of the worst mineralisation areas is a place called Balagundi which is 19 km. from the town of Kalgoorlie which is the biggest deposit of gold which is called the super pit. It is 320 meteres deep 3km. long and 1.5 km wide and is half owned by NEWMONT a North American company. The ground around Balagundi has the worst mineralisation you are getting noises which you just can not distinguish between a target and ground noise. Now if you rip off 6 inches of top soil you will get nuggetts that the detector signal just flattens out and will not penetrate the ground.

Just A little history John.

Hi Jeff & Maria,:ausflag:
I have only used the quattro on this area and that just locked up and was useless. It is a fair drive but when i get a chance i will go back and give the exterra 70 a go.

Well thank you much for the info Pinpointa. I wish I could come over to your country and try nuggethunting. It seems such a large area that it is overwhelming in a way. Australia is the only place I would like to travel to. Ok you have fun out there and be careful too. God Bless.
