She is about the same age as I was when I first started (seven). We found a nickel.

Beautiful young lady, you should be most proud. Is she using the CTX? What did she find in the pic?

Thanks, a nickel. it's a big difference from my first detector which was a Fisher 1210-X

GKMan - You making that young girl swing a 17" coil? haha. When my daughter was 7, she would go to the beach with me and dig targets, now at 14, that's not happening. Enjoy it while you can, buddy.

Her swing needs some work...
I know I have to enjoy these times together since I am sure in not so many years from now she won't want to be there with me doing something like this..

Awesome!! I have been trying to get my girls to detect with me, but with no luck so far! Congrats on building memories

Yup - when my daughter was that age her and her friends used to beg to go detecting - now she's 13 and when I ask you'd think I asked her to stick her head in a blender! Hope your girl keeps an open mind about it for a long time :)
